This has sparked a recent debate on a Reddit post regarding whether or not parents should leave a place if their child is causing annoyance to others or simply stay put.

The husband took to Reddit to share that he and his wife decided to grab a cup of coffee and a pastry with their 8-month-old son at a café near the local park.

The parents noticed that their son had become more vocal lately and was particularly fond of playing with his plastic toy, which had rubber strings that produced a gentle sound.
Although the toy made some noise, it was not loud enough to be considered annoying, unlike those toys with speakers.

According to the OP's wife, the last personal comment made by her husband was unnecessary, as it turned the situation into a personal attack. A coworker also advised that it would have been better to ignore the older lady and avoid a confrontation altogether.
