Prince Harry's memoirs Spare gives us an insight into his grief over his mom, lady Diana, time in the military, meeting Meghan, and Harry's rows with William, Prince of Wales.
Prince Harry talks about Apartment 1A, where Kate and William live
Harry described the mansion in detail: "The wallpaper, the ceiling trim, the walnut bookshelves filled with volumes of peaceful colors, priceless works of art."
The younger son of Lady Diana and King Charles added: "Magnificent. Like a museum."
Then the Duke of Sussex detailed how this apartment compared to the home he shared with his wife:
"We congratulated them on the renovation without holding back the compliments while feeling embarrassed of our IKEA lamps and the second-hand sofa we'd recently bought on sale with Meg's credit card on Sofa.com."
Harry and Meghan shared their royal home in the Netflix special
Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared how tiny their first royal home was. The Nottingham Cottage on Kensington grounds was a far cry from the lavishing place where the Prince and Princes of Wales lived.
However, the then Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their first son, George, also lived in Nottingham Cottage while apartment 1A was under construction.
Harry, Meghan, and their two children now live in a mansion in Montecito, California. They bought the home in June 2020 for $14.6 million.

Kate and William's apartment is actually a mansion
The newly titled Prince and Princes of Wales' apartment has four stories, five "reception rooms," nine "staff bedrooms," a gym, an elevator, luggage rooms, etc.
A royal author Christopher Warwick said that Wales' home "has 20 rooms from the basement to the attic," adding, "it is not a small house."
The family of five, however, spends most of their time at Adelaide Cottage in Windsor, a four-bedroom home.

Harry's memoirs caused a royal turmoil
Since the book leaked, there have been numerous excerpts about the extraordinary life of a 38-year-old prince.
Harry presented multiple allegations against his father, stepmother Camilla, the Queen Consort, and brother William.
Spare reveals how he was always treated poorly compared to William, and the apartment comparison is one of those stories.
In the interviews promoting the book, Harry pointed out that he wanted to talk things out with his father, King Charles III, and his brother. That conversation, as he said, would stay private.
The palace did not respond to any claims brought up by the book. Do you think the Royals will stay silent? And will Harry’s book end any potential reconciliation talks?
