Caitlyn Jenner attacks two transgender teenager tracking stars: "A male high school student, who would have finished last for boys in the 1600 meter race, came in second for girls & stole a state title race spot from a deserving girl."

Caitlyn Jenner went after two California high school transgender girls after they qualified for the upcoming  California Interscholastic Federation State Track & Field Championships.

Jenner is among the most famous transgender people in sports

Jenner is an Olympic gold medalist and a reality TV star. She only finished transitioning several years ago, in 2015 but is an avid advocate against transgender women in sports. However, what raised eyebrows was that she reposted a tweet and did not correct the misgendering.

The tweet in question was about Athena Ryan

Athena Ryan placed second in the 1600-meter run at the North Coast Meet of Champions of California finals. The Sonoma Academy junior faced numerous online comments as well as on-site protestors who were later escorted by security.

The second girl was Lorelei Barrett

Lorelei Barrett from Buckley High School in Los Angeles’ Sherman Oaks area finished third in the 1600-meter race at the Southern Section semifinals. Both Barrett and Ryan will compete under CIF’s 2013 “Gender Identity Participation” rules, so athletes “will participate in programs consistent with their gender identity or the gender most consistently expressed.”

Senator stood up for the LGBTQ community

State Senator Scott Wiener told the San Francisco Chronicle there is a "real uptick in threats and potential violence against LGBTQ people." This comes as no surprise, as 21 states have banned transgender athletes from participating in school sports.

California Senator wants to provide support

“It’s a very dangerous time for LGBTQ young people in the U.S., and especially for trans young people,” Wiener said. “In California, it absolutely needs to go in the other direction, and we support these kids and embrace them to succeed.”

Jenner's tweet

Jenner retweeted, "A male high school student, who would have finished last for boys in the 1600 meter race, came in second for girls & stole a state title race spot from a deserving girl."

She did not mention misgendering

She added the caption, "As ‘somewhat’ of a track star myself, and a trans person, THIS IS WRONG!!! HELP ME PUSH BACK!"

Jenner added a snarky comment

Jenner added a follow-up comment, "And FYA trans ppl, you are being used by the radical gender ideology cult as political pawns. That’s all you are to them." But not everyone was impressed, as one person reminded the KUWTK star, "I’m utterly confused. Here you are just a few years ago, BRAGGING on taking a woman’s award."

Various opinions

A Twitter poster wrote, "Women VS Women, what more needs to be discussed?" Another told Jenner, "You are a man, and you need to come out as a man. Until then, your words don't matter to me."

Some were more vicious than others

This person wrote about an alleged incident, "Tell everyone once again how you can hit a driver on the golf course that crushes a biological woman's drive, your voice is important to women and their ability to keep their sport!" Another stated, "Give back all your 'Woman of the Year' awards first."

The fight has just begun

Judging by comments on Jenner's Twitter, this is not an issue that will be solved overnight despite Biden's Administration proposing a change to Title IX rules that would allow K–12 schools and universities to limit the participation of transgender athletes. And this was only based on one tweet about one event...
