Red flags in relationships can include anything from neglecting your needs to flipping their phone only when they're with you, but one man suggested a new way to identify a “lunatic” man and advised women to leave without hesitation when encountering this type of man during their first visit to his place.
In a video that has since gone viral, TikToker @brandinoportofino cautions women about a man who cleans his baseboards in the house, referring to him as “some creep.”
“Here's a tip for the ladies going over to a guy's place for the first time,” says Brandino at the beginning of the video.
He argues that there's one thing about men that can help women spot a “crazy” man “immediately” and “without fail.”
According to him, women should not hesitate to leave if they notice this particular thing on a guy.
As he points the camera at the dirty baseboards, Brandino says, “It all starts with the baseboards.”
He turns to women and asks, “do you see that dust layer just all along there?”
Brandino suggests that there’s a connection between a red flag guy and clean baseboards, pointing out, “most guys aren't clean at all.”
He acknowledges that it's not uncommon for men to perform basic cleaning tasks before their woman comes over to make sure the house looks presentable. “They might vacuum, they might tidy up the place.”
However, he believes that cleaning the baseboards is not a common task for guys to do, saying, “there's no way in hell that they are going to wipe the baseboard.”
His conclusion is that if a woman goes to a guy's house and finds the baseboards completely clean with zero dust, she should “leave right away.”
Pointing the camera to a spotless baseboard, he says, “if you see clean baseboards like this one, with no dust at all, that means this guy is a lunatic, and get out immediately.”
In a humorous tone, he ends the video by clarifying that he didn't just clean the baseboard to prove a point, but also to avoid getting a wooden spoon in his face by his Italian mom for not cleaning it.

Viewers took to the comment section to offer other interesting ideas and crack jokes about Brandino's baseboard theory, all while not entirely dismissing it.
The video quickly went viral and racked up an impressive 311k views, with one person sharing their personal experience that supported Brandio's theory, writing, “My dad wipes baseboards and is crazy so this is facts.”
A different interpretation was offered by another viewer, who proposed that a clean baseboard might not always be an indicator of crazy ma, but could instead suggest that the guy is cheating on his wife with the woman who comes over, “crazy person or secretly married.”
